It’s finally happened. I’ve created the “blog within the blog”. Since I write mostly about my life, I have decided that it’s about time for me to document all of the “Babs sightings” because that really is such a large and significant part of my existence. I figure if I have to put up with them, well so do you. And really, it is such an important part of my history.
Here’s what I’m going to do. I’ve created a template so going through these should be a breeze. I’ll post them as they happen but don’t worry, I won’t bore you with the more mundane ones, only those that are particularly interesting.

Place: The best Starbuck’s patio in Edmonton where I was sitting, drinking my non-fat, no foam latte and minding my own business.
The sighting:
Woman at the next table: Has anyone ever told you that you look like Barbra Streisand. Oh, of course they have!
Me: Yes, quite a lot.
Woman: I hope I haven’t insulted you.
Me: No, not at all. I quite like Barbra.
Woman: Yes, she’s a beautiful, beautiful….(much too long pause) singer.
Okay, so much for that “no insult” thing.

The sighting: Nothing really remarkable about this one other than it was at the same place and time as the last. Now it feels like a streak and I’m going to have to go back next week to see if I can make it three in a row.
